Natalie Appleton is a Canadian writer living in Vernon, BC. Her stories have appeared in publications around the world, and she was recently a finalist for the CBC’s Creative Non-fiction award.

After graduating from the University of Regina’s School of Journalism in 2003, Natalie went on to work for several Canadian newspapers. When the recession struck, she turned lemons into London and began an MA in Creative Writing (Narrative non-fiction) at City University London, UK.

She is currently writing short stories, polishing a true novel manuscript, and researching her next book.

As a journalist, Natalie’s articles have appeared in newspapers such as The New York Times, the Vancouver Sun and The Globe and Mail. Natalie has lived in London, Bangkok, and now resides in the Okanagan, where she works as a freelance writer/copywriter and writing teacher.
