Join us for this fun art-making scavenger hunt!
Founded in 2009, Culture Days is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a national network of cultural connections devoted to providing Canadians with opportunities to participate in, and appreciate, all forms of arts and culture. Through an annual three-day national celebration each September, hundreds of thousands of artists and cultural organizations in hundreds of cities and towns come together and invite Canadians to participate in free interactive and “behind the scenes” activities to discover their cultural spirit and passion.
The Caetani Cultural Centre is proud to take part in Culture Days 2016, on Saturday, October 1.
The project:
Saturday, Oct 1st, join us for the Culture Days Collaborative Sculpture Scavenger Hunt
Where: the Vernon Public Art Gallery, the Vernon Community Arts Centre, Gallery Vertigo, and the Caetani Cultural Centre.
Stop by each cultural centre to create and decorate a 4×4” cardboard square using the institutions preferred medium. Finish the scavenger hunt at Gallery Vertigo where you will attach your cardboard squares together to create a collaborative art sculpture. If you visit all 4 cultural hubs you can enter to win a membership for each institution + an exciting prize basket from Leap Art Supplies! The sculpture grand reveal will be at Gallery Vertigo at 3:30 p.m.
