POP-UP Exhibition and Opening Reception

Caetani Cultural Centre Studio Gallery

Roberta Pyx Sutherland or “Pyx”  is a visual artist living in Victoria and on Hornby Island, Canada. Her education includes a BFA (Hon.) from the University of Victoria. The Caetani Centre is currently hosting her for a two week residency. The work created during her stay will be celebrated with a weekend pop-up exhibition.

This exhibit will focus on large scale drawings that reflect an enduring connection to the land and kind friends in the valley. Sutherland is collected by the Canada Council Art Bank as well as numerous other private and public collections. Her recent sculpture created at the Mount Subasio UNESCO world heritage site in Assisi received the Juror’s Award of excellence at the Sooke Fine Art Show.
