Poetry: Language and Form

Join Kalamalka Press Writer-in-Residence Yvonne Blomer for a three-hour workshop on writing poetry with a focus on pushing language, playing with metaphor and using forms such as pantoums and sonnets.

The class will involve a lot of writing, and reading as well as discussions on poetic devices, sample poems, how poetry works, language and sharing of written work.

Bring pen and paper (or a laptop) and a favourite poem (not your own) as well as a small object from home.
