The Forks serve up a blend of bouncy clawhammer banjo music with playfully emotive lyrics.
Lead singer Donovan Thorimbert draws on folk music traditions from around the world for inspiration.
Born in Saskatchewan, based in Montreal and bound for Newfoundland each summer, his mobile lifestyle brings The Forks to distinct audiences across the lands.
This year Thorimbert is teaming up with long-time collaborator Hank Gimby to tour in Western Canada in promotion of the release of their new LP ‘Round the Bend’.
