Petra Höller is an artist, poet and writer from Summerland, BC on the unceded lands of the Syilx/Okanagan Nation. Their visual practice incorporates painting, drawing, bookmaking and fibre arts.
Petra’s most recent work looks to the plants and environment around us and the way that our history has shaped our relationship to them.
Petra will be showing their embroidery, weaving, drawings and paintings based on the plants, trees and the landscape from the Caetani Centre neighbourhood.
Join Petra in the Juul Studio, located in the Caetani Centre courtyard, this Saturday, Nov. 27 anytime between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. as they show their process and resulting work.
Petra Höller has exhibited and curated in British Columbia and Québec, including experimental music and performance events at the Penticton Art Gallery (2017-2018) and Le Réacteur Nucléaire (Montréal, 2015-2016). In 2020 Petra graduated from the BFA program at Con-cordia University in Tiohtiá:ke/Montréal, QC.”
