The Caetani Centre is celebrating Historic Places Days, presented by the National Trust for Canada, through July 25. Historic Places Days invites Canadians to discover and celebrate the heritage places that shape our communities.

As part of this national celebration, we're sharing rarely seen historic videos featuring Sveva Caetani speaking about her life, her home, and the creation of her monumental artwork, Recapitulation.

This year's theme, Communication Through Place and Time, explores how stories, ideas, skills, and traditions have been shared across generations—and how historic places have helped preserve those connections. The theme also marks the 150th anniversary of the first telephone call patented in Canada by Alexander Graham Bell, celebrating the many ways people have connected across time.

Historic places aren't simply where history happened—they're where conversations continue.
