In this 8 week session, students (ages 9-13) will be introduced to acting techniques and theatre skills - improvisation, character building, script analysis, creative movement, and vocal work. These young artists will work together to create, collaborate and direct an original piece of theatre for the end of term.

Amelia Sirianni is a musical theatre actor, teaching artist, and storyteller with over 20 years experience creating work for and with young audiences across Canada. Amelia has toured nationally with musical theatre productions including Disney's High School Musical, The Doodlebops, and Strawberry Shortcake and Friends. Locally, she has performed in The Rocky Horror Show, Cabaret (Big Apple Productions) and The DaVinci Code (Kelowna Actors Studio). For the past decade, Amelia has focused on fostering a love of the arts in youth as a drama instructor, early years music educator, and acting coach. She has led youth workshops for Theatre BC's MainStage Festival and the Good Will Shakespeare Festival, taught classes and camps at Caetani Cultural Centre, and recently gave a TEDx talk on reclaiming the artist identity. She is also the co-owner of Ghost Tours of Vernon. Connecting to the community through engaging storytelling is at the heart of all her work.
